Kevin VanNortwick, CPA/ABV, CFP, CVA - Tax & Consulting Director

Prior to joining Mikunda, Cottrell & Co., Inc. as a Director in 1998,

Kevin was a shareholder with the Anchorage offices of Morgan

and VanNortwick, APC, CPA’s as well as Whitlock, Carlson &

Associates, Inc. With both of those firms, Kevin focused on income

tax planning and preparation, and was actively involved in the

preparation of financial statements and doing consulting work,

including litigation support.  He has obtained his Certified Valuation

Analyst and Accredited in Business Valuation designations and has

been working on litigation/expert witness projects, as well as business

valuation projects on an ongoing basis since the mid 1990's.  He has

served as an expert in many different trials and arbitration hearings,

and he oversees the business valuation and litigation support niche

of Mikunda, Cottrell & Co., Inc.  Kevin is still actively involved with

tax preparation and planning for businesses and individuals, as well

as the preparation of financial statements.

Kevin is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public

Accountants, the Alaska Society of Certified Public Accountants,

the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and he has served on various committees of the Alaska Society, and Anchorage South Rotary Club.  Kevin is also a member of the Anchorage Estate Planning Council.

Kevin  was born and raised in Washington State and earned his Business Administration Degree with an emphasis in accounting from the University of Washington in 1982, and moved to Alaska with his wife Jeana in 1985.  They have three children and enjoy golfing, fishing, camping and skiing.
