FIRM HISTORY

Robert Mikunda and David Cottrell formed Mikunda, Cottrell & Co. in 1977.  The company has grown steadily since then with the addition of shareholders, principals, professional staff and an office in Kenai, Alaska.

Today, Mikunda, Cottrell & Co. is the largest locally owned certified public accounting firm in Alaska with over 85 employees. The  staff includes nine shareholders and over 75 professional and support staff providing audit, tax and consulting services for clients throughout Alaska.

The individual partners and professional staff have a wide range of experience acquired through prior association with national accounting firms and current membership in the RSM McGladrey international network of certified public accounting and consulting firms. This broad background and international network affiliation enables us to provide the same expertise and service offered by much larger firms.
